The Metabo HPT 5 in. Surface Prep kit is designed to offer the professional power tool user high performance and reliability for heavy duty use on construction and industrial work sites. The powerful 13.5 Amp motor delivers up to 50 percent more torque and up to 20 percent higher overload capacity for quicker material removal and longer service life. The tool is equipped with a dust extraction shroud made from heavy duty polyurethane which remains pliable and retains shape on uneven surfaces and accepts standard vinyl vacuum hose fittings. The shroud has a convertible feature which allows for grinding up to a wall or other obstacles by opening and exposing the diamond cup wheel. The tool is compact and lightweight making it ideal for edge grinding and removal of concrete, screed, and coating on floors, walls and ceiling. The tool features a variable speed dial with 2800-9600 RPM for a wide range of applications, electronic speed stabilization, soft start, power interruption protection, and an S-Automatic mechanical safety slip clutch which helps prevent kick-back if the wheel binds or jams.
